Description Awareshiftjk 2008-05-15 03:55:50 UTC
I've noticed that IP addresses are autoblocked for much longer periods than their parent accounts. For example, I was blocked for 48 hours <http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log&type=block&page=User:Knowhands_enjoykeep> on May 9th. But I am still autoblocked from editing six days after the block. That's three times the original duration, and I'm not sure when it will stop. I have to use a VPN to edit Wikipedia. The original autoblock was for 48 hours, but whenever it expires and I try to edit, the date is extended by another 24 hours. The same thing happened when I was blocked for 24 hours. The autoblock lasted for 48 hours.

Cannot reproduce. Unless you provide the autoblocked IP, also unable to verify that the IP you're talking about wasn't blocked for longer period than your account by someone else .
