When viewing old revisions in an article history, the templates that are transcluded show their current revision, and as such the article does not really appear as it did at that point in time, which is kind of useless for citations (for example). Instead, the template display should be the last revision before the article revision. For example, if the article revision was from 1 January 2008 0:00 (UTC), the transcluded templates should show the last revision before then, NOT the current revision.
