We've had a custom MediaWiki:Sidebar on WV-EN for a year or so now. On April 24th it started alternating between custom and default (cache?), and on April 25th the default kicked in permanently. I'm guessing it's a site configuration issue or a Mediawiki bug. Nobody on #wikimedia-tech was able to say if the bug had already been reported, so I'm guessing it hasn't.

It is a caching issue; ?action=purge fixes this. Until recently, a null edit was required.
