WenQuanYi ZenHei (文泉驿正黑) is a Chinese/Japanese/Korean gothic font, licensed as "GPLv2 with font embedding exception", providing a great free East Asian gothic typeface solution, especially for Traditional/Simplified Chinese. Recently the need of Chinese SVG diagrams is increased and many people converted unfree fonts like Microsoft JhengHei/YaHei (distributed with Vista/Office '07) or LeiHeiPro (from MacOS X) to path to get a gothic typeface. It is a very bad workaround, and WenQuanYi ZenHei may solve this problem. So I think Wikimedia server should install this fonts for SVG. The latest version 0.5 "Kwafoo" is available in Debian/Ubuntu repos, the package for FC 7/8/9 is available as "wqy-zenhei-fonts".
Component: General -> Site requests Keywords: shell If I read things correctly, the requester would like to have the font WenQuanYi ZenHei (文泉驿正黑), which has a free license, installed on the Wikimedia servers, so that it will be possible to use it in PNG renderings of SVG files.
