For pictures with EXIF there should be a possibility for using this data as semanticdata

This is a good task for an SMW extension. SMW 1.4 provides everything needed for that. An extension can pre-define its own properties to store relevant EXIF fields in SMW, and it can hook into MediaWiki to set those properties before saving. This is not a task for the code of SMW (wich is big enough as it is).
