Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description brianna.laugher 2008-03-27 00:37:20 UTC
I would prefer the 'large-file' warning to be disabled completely for Commons, because we encourage people to upload files at the largest appropriate size. If they upload a "large" file, it's on purpose, not by accident.

However if this is seen as unacceptable, at least, please increase it, maybe to 10485760B (10MB).

But really, it would be better to disable it.

and hey, while we're here, [[bugzilla:12595]] Increase Commons file size upload limit to 40MB would be nice, too :)
Comment 2 Tim Starling 2008-03-27 01:11:51 UTC
It's been obsolete since the introduction of server-side image scaling. I'm disabling it in DefaultSettings.php.
