Description David Levy 2008-03-26 17:48:16 UTC
A two-year span of edits (273 by my count) to the English Wikipedia article "Make Way for Ducklings" (from the page's creation on 12 February 2005 to 18:05 UTC on 12 February 2007) has been duplicated in the revision history of the German Wikipedia's article of the same name. Only a protection summary from 23:39 UTC on 11 February 2007 is absent.

As a result, numerous English revisions are included, as are user many edits attributed to user accounts that don't exist at the German Wikipedia (though the nonexistent account now have contribution logs that include these edits). It appears that the German article was not created until 00:09 UTC on 8 July 2007, and this now is recorded as an edit from English to German.

I don't know whether this is a widespread issue or a fluke, but I didn't notice this until after my accounts were unified (at which point I examined my German Wikipedia contribution log and noticed the discrepancy). My username is David Levy, and I performed one edit to the English article 1t 18:49 UTC on 11 February 2007. This was the page's last edit before the aforementioned protection was enabled, so that might play a role.

Please excuse the above typos. For clarity, I've included a corrected version of my report below:

The page was imported, so full history data is included.
Comment 3 David Levy 2008-03-26 19:30:51 UTC
Ah, I apologize for the false alarm.
