I created that and I'm not sure if it is ready to be added to the trunk. I'll have to review it.

I forgot to add this:

Meanwhile, please provide a good reason why such a maintenance script would be useful. Beside the special use case you practiced, we need some good justification before adding the script to the trunk.

I have no good reason. It was sitting on my desktop, and since I was going to simply delete it, I thought this might be a better use of your work. I don't know how useful it would or would not be for others, so it's up to you guys.

Haven't seen a use case for this yet (and nobody on this bug seems to care very much one way or the other). WONTFIX'ing.
