Images should be searchable by metadata, such as height, width, mimetype, timestamp etc.

I think that requires new indexes?

Probably. Or even better, it gets integrated into LuceneSearch.

DrTrigonBot does extract some of the metadata - so a very small set of the metadata within the files DrTrigonBot processed should actually be searchable already. This can be extended but will never be an adequate replacement for this ticket/bug.
