Description Hégésippe 2008-03-09 04:54:34 UTC
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Newpages

http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Newpages

Clicking on links (250) or (500) does not show a page with 250 or 500 results, but with only 50 results

But modifying the URI to obtain 200 results still gives 200 results: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Newpages&limit=200&offset=0

Then choose (201) gives only 50 results: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Newpages&limit=201&offset=0

No problem on http://lyricwiki.org/Special:Newpages or on http://www.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Newpages (and Wikia's subsites)

I apologize if there is already a bug report about this problem.

This is a (temporary?) security hack for WMF wikis, see https://wikitech.leuksman.com/index.php?title=Server_admin_log&diff=next&oldid=14420

Added cleaner limits in r31932.

Tighter limits (no offset, limit restricted to 500) now apply when in embedded use, while the plain ol' page is looser, and when you hit the limit it pegs you at the max instead of going back to default.
