Description Siebrand Mazeland 2008-02-17 00:14:23 UTC
I have seen two cases of strange things happening after a revert recently:

(1) was reported on wikitech-l. After a revert of a page that was vandalised to the correct version, references had not been updated [1], [2].
(2} after a revert of a control page for the extension Gadgets, the whole tab for the extension in Special:Preferences disappeared [3].

In both cases a null edit fixed the issues. I suspect 'revert' may be taking some shortcuts it shouldn't take.

en.wp was running a near SVN HEAD version at the time. Betawiki was running SVN HEAD.

"revert" as in "rollback"?
Comment 2 Siebrand Mazeland 2008-05-16 20:26:37 UTC
Yes.
Comment 3 Aaron Schulz 2008-09-12 15:04:58 UTC
Looks like something triggered a db rollback. I've merged the linksupdate stuff in with the main transaction so they are more atomic.
Comment 4 Siebrand Mazeland 2008-09-12 20:28:47 UTC
Comment 3 is on r40752.
Comment 5 Tim Starling 2008-09-21 07:57:42 UTC
Reverted r40752, reopened bug. See wikitech-l.
