Interwiki links: I propose to allow an alternative syntax (in addition to existing syntax) for interwiki links such as google:querystring (*) having the same function as [[google:querystring]] (**). The new version (*) can peacefully coexist with known syntax (**) and its piped version, e.g [[google:querystring|other text]] . Purpose of (*) syntax: much quicker to write than using [[ ]]; if someone needs a text (not an interwiki) such as see:this user can simply use <nowiki>see:this</nowiki> notation. I am using the shortened interwiki sysntax on my wikis since half a year with big success (which isn't a proof, but I am just proposing this). Tom
MediaWiki does not support UseMod's camelcase-style links without brackets.
(In reply to comment #1) > MediaWiki does not support UseMod's camelcase-style links without brackets. I am not talking about camelcase-style links, but only for interwikis. If you allow to write http://something without brackets, why not allowing google:something without brackets, Brion ? You appear to be not consequent in your conclusions.
We've talked about this before. If you want UseMod, you know where to find it.
