Description Theklan 2008-01-25 14:42:08 UTC
We're going to receive an important basque cultre prize today at 4:00-4:30, and they asked us to keep it on secret. So we want to switch to the new image (it has been uploaded now) asap...

The logo is uploaded as [[:eu:Wikip.png]] and have been protected.

thanks

Sorry, it has been uploaded as [[:eu:Image:Wiki.png]]

my fault

Please, could anyone make the change? We thought it was going to be only a moment. The prize has been awarded but we still do not have the new logo. We are afraid that when the new logo will be ready, it could be too late.

Many thanks!

http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Logo says:

"Don't change the logo on a project without a discussion with (at a minimum) the affected communities and the board. The logo identity of our websites is important for professionalism and consistency, to help end users be familiar with us, and we should be thoughtful about changes. Logos are global: All languages have to use the same logo, logo changes are possible on a project level only, but not for one language."

So please get board approval for this change.

Personal note: Congratulations to your price! I think the site notice is very prominent and a really good way to celebrate the price.

We are just asking for a project-level temporary change, not a language-level final one. Like when a wikipedia reaches a significant number of articles. Isn't this possible?

Quoting myself:

"So please get board approval for this change."

I didn't say impossible.
