Dear friends;

I was in doubt about selecting
Product « MediaWiki » and Component « User interface » or
Product « Wikimedia » and Component « General/Unknown » .

I thing that setting [[MediaWiki:Sitenotice]] manually for all the « locked database wikis » of the WMF is a bad solution and implementing an automatic display of « Database locked  » ( [[MediaWiki:Readonly]] ) beside [[MediaWiki:Sitenotice]] is a better solution.

In general, read-only is a temporary state for maintenance or server access problems and should not interfere with general output and UI unless a restricted action is undertaken.

How about just putting {{MediaWiki:Sitenotice}} and the top or bottom of [[MediaWiki:Readonly]]?
