Dear friends; At http://test.wikipedia.org/ it should be possible to test all / many aspects of [[mw:]]|MediaWiki. So far I have never seen an UTF-8 inter project / inter wiki prefix. a) Please add « Ω » the Greek capital letter [[Omega]] as an inter project / inter wiki prefix to the configuration for http://test.wikipedia.org/ . The target of this prefix should be: http://www.omegawiki.org/$1 b) Please add an interwiki prefix « ם » , Unicode Character 'HEBREW LETTER FINAL MEM' (U+05DD) http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/05dd/index.htm as as an inter project / inter wiki prefix to the configuration for http://test.wikipedia.org/ . The target should be the same as the one from the interwiki prefix « m » wich derects to [[m:]] / [[meta:]] c) Please add an interwiki prefix « ם » , the Unicode Character 'HEBREW LETTER VAV' (U+05D5) http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/05d5/index.htm as as an inter project / inter wiki prefix to the configuration for http://test.wikipedia.org/ . The target should be the same as the one from the interwiki prefix « w » wich derects to [[w:]] . note: [[wikipedia:]] is the name space name for the project namespace at http://test.wikipedia.org/ . Thanks for all your efforts in advance! Best regards Reinhardt [[user:Gangleri]]
Interwiki prefixes are latin/ASCII.
(In reply to comment #1) > Interwiki prefixes are latin/ASCII. Dear Brion, I would have preferred if you would have changed / resolved this request to resolution « LATER » . There ar a lot of arguments using UTF-8 Interwiki prefixes : a) users do not need to switch between different keybords b) using RTL interwiki prefixes is more convenient to write source code in wiki syntax because because users / editors would not be irritated about the bidirectional rendering. btw: Would numbers (latin/ASCII) as « 4711 » be valid as interwiki prefixes or is it a must that the interwiki prefixes start with a a charavter in the a..z range? [[mw:Interwiki table]] does not provide documentation about this. Best regards Reinhardt [[user:Gangleri]]
