Description MZMcBride 2007-12-29 06:47:09 UTC
There should be a magic word so that an "edit this page" link can be created using href="/w/index.php..." vs. href="http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php...".

I imagine the magic word would work like {{EDITLINK:<display text>}}, so in a stub template for example, "This stub can be improved by {{EIDTLINK:expanding it}}.

This would help enormously in cleaning up self-references and bad citations that are currently uncatchable via Special:Linksearch due to {{fullurl: being used for edit links.

Reads like a duplicate of bug 11456: "Add [[Special:History/Page]] and [[Special:Edit/Page]] as functional internal wiki links"

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 11456 ***
