I'm reporting it just for future reference. Article "BitTorrent tracker site sued by movie studios, will mount defense" was posted three times, and it is listed three time on Special:Newpages, and Special:Recentchanges. *22:30, 30 Dec 2004 *22:32, 30 Dec 2004 *22:50, 30 Dec 2004

Just happened again. On http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/J%27raxis : # 2005-07-11 15:04:37 (hist) (diff) User:J'raxis (Added Arabic transliteration, changed Google link.) # 2005-07-11 15:04:34 (hist) (diff) User:J'raxis (Added Arabic transliteration, changed Google link.) (top) And on http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:J%27raxis&action=history it shows as: # (cur) (last) 2005-07-11 15:04:37 J'raxis (Added Arabic transliteration, changed Google link.) # (cur) (last) 2005-07-11 15:04:34 J'raxis (Added Arabic transliteration, changed Google link.) I hit submit once, it took almost a minute to reply, and I got the error that says the Wikipedia server returned no response to the request (I think this is one of the web proxies saying that the back-end database didn't respond?). I tried resubmitting and this time it returned an edit-conflict error, so the submission had gone through the first time. I'm not sure if that second submission above was caused by my second attempt to submit or if somehow the first submission got recorded twice; according to the history it's from 3s later but my second attempt to submit was over a minute later. It's also rather odd that the earlier edit is listed as "top." [Additionally, can one of these edits be removed by a site admin? They're identical and it looks bad having two in the edit histories.]

Please note that bug 1239: New page created, db lag, result in double entries in categories relates to double entries. The title of this bug relates to two different things: bug 1243: One article listed multiple times on Newpages, Recentchanges and Contributions a) Newpages - probably double / multiple entries entries b) Recentchanges and Contributions - is up to the user - *Just happened again.* ... and again
