Description jasper 2007-12-22 16:07:00 UTC
Hello,

since this week I can't edit some things on some pages on my own wiki-installation. I could before, this is new behavior.

What happens:

- I can't make any edits to the 'main page'. When I click 'edit' I get the edit-page, when I click 'save' (also without making any edits) I get an 'internal server error' message.

- I can't edit the first entry on my main page. Same as with the 'main page'.

- I can edit all other pages, but when I try and enter 'http://' I get the 'internal server error' message again. In fact, it looks as if the exact combination of 'http:' with '//' causes the error. I have not encountered any other combination of characters that causes the error.

System info:

PC with WinXP sp2, all latest microsoft updates. Mozilla Firefox latest update: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071127 Firefox/2.0.0.11

Any help appreciated,
Jasper

Which web server are you using? Did you check the error log of the web server?

About the server: what information is relevant? I can see my webhost uses PHP 5.0.4 and I think it's Apache, if that means anything.
I try to see which version of MediaWiki I've got installed, but don't know where to look.
How do I check the error log?

As you can probably see, server technology is not really my forte :)

No recent activity and probably a local config issue.
