When editing a page who's content contains tabs (for formatting, they are wrapped in <pre> and <nowiki> tags) the tabs do not show up in the text area. For example, I create a page. In the body (text) of the page is some text that contains tabs for formatting, all of which is wrapped in a pre tag. I save the page. The page looks good...all formatting is there. I decide to edit the page...in the textarea for editing, the tabs are no longer there, which means that when I save the page, they are also gone.
This is likely done by your web browser. Can you confirm your OS, browser, and version?

Turns out to be the result of the select category extension. Something that it's doing is removing the tabs from the textarea. Thank you for your help, closing bug.
