Dear friends, since some weeks I am testing the « Unified login » at http://test.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:MergeAccount. I experienced that at many of the foundations wiki's it is not possible to change either the password or the email address in [[special:Preferences]] when the content language is selected. First I assumed that the email server is down, but this is not the case. (I created a test account and used English as user interface.) If you can not change some of the parameters in « special:Preferences » in the content language then you should try to use another language but this is not always the case because some wikies do not accept any change. The scope of this bug is to coordinate such « anomalies » . Please open an extra report / an extra bug for each project involved and add this bug id as blocking your new bug. Removing bugs that are not related to SUL.
You don't have to change the password or e-mail of an account in order to get it merged. You only have to type its password in Special:MergeAccount.
There's a component, no need for a tracking bug.
