Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description Duncan Harris 2007-11-19 13:04:31 UTC
Within a category there should be a search box to be able to search through and filter entries in the category.

The starting point would be a box into which the user enters a string, which is searched for when a button is bonked.

Now the easiest thing would be to search for the string within the page/media titles; I assume that would be more efficient than searching through the body texts.

I think it would also be good to be able to select filetype(s) to search for. This could be a series of checkboxes of all available filetypes (including considering articles and subcategories as filetypes), (and treating jpg/jpeg together the same). They should all be selected by default.
