Patch and install description

We've added support for the Ingres DBMS.
The attachment contains a patch, new php files and an installation pdf.
We are still working on it. There is no installer yet so this is a bit tricky now.

Adding support for a new database should be developed and *maintaned* in MediaWiki core. Have you asked for a commit access?
Comment 2 Alexander Thiem 2009-02-28 19:28:53 UTC
No I haven't. Who is the right one to ask?
The patch above was done for a single project but having Ingres support in the core would be best, of course.

Brion Vibber or Tim Starling. You should find their e-mail addresses easily. Some people have also posted requests to wikitech-l mailing list. You will need a SSH public key.
