Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, I recommended to make a list of often used literature to a friend. I asked him to use the German citation template to have it in modern form. The purpose is to have it ready for the citation in a lot of his articles. By the way, if the templates are used by everyone there might be a chance in future to have a free Wikipedia-database for literature including a reference to their usage in the articles. Anyway, so he did for some hundred titles. The result is (in german Wikipedia): * http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benutzer:JEW/Literatur - his list Now we found out that here is a limit of bytes. We learnt this from * http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Template_limits Some of the trouble could be solved by outsourcing the helps and comments to the discussion page. * http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vorlage:Literatur - the German template * http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Cite_book - the English template But the problem with not enough bytes still remains. The problems will become harder if the template is enhanced (for example with parameters for the language). Is there a chance to increase the limit to improve the opportunity to work with the literature templatates? Thank you very much. Simplicius
Probably obsolete, as the template limits have been changed completely since the introduction of the new preprocessor. Marking as WORKSFORME.
