After the upgrade to 1.4 I'm unable to write on several pages, because I
*always* get an editing conflict, even if the page was not written by anyone.
List of affected pages that I fould in random checks:

[[:it:Wikipedia:Bar]]  (the equivalent of the English village pump)
[[:it:Discussioni Wikipedia:Bar]]
[[:it:MediaWiki:Editingcomment]]
[[:it:Scienza]]

The bug is only present when the "Show preview on first edit" preference is
active. Turning it off restores normal behaviour and no conflicts happen.

I get this one too, but it seems to be sporadic. Turning off the 'preview on
first edit' option.  [[User:Morven]]

It definitely seems related, but I would not consider it a *duplicate*.

The preview on first edit mode didn't correctly initialize the form with the data required to confirm that there was no conflict or to 
work with section edits.

Should be fixed now.
