Description Dori 2004-12-23 04:02:24 UTC
Long summaries really clutter up recent changes. I think it would be best if
after a certain number of characters for a specific entry was reached, the
comments either would be cut off, or wouldn't be shown at all. For example,
00:00 Looooooooooooong Naaaaaame (diff; hist) . . Ussssssssserrrrrrrrname (Talk)
(blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaber)

Would just show as:
> 00:00 Looooooooooooong Naaaaaame (diff; hist) . . Ussssssssserrrrrrrrname
(Talk) (bla...)

or

> 00:00 Looooooooooooong Naaaaaame (diff; hist) . . Ussssssssserrrrrrrrname
(Talk) (...)

And clicking the toggle flag would show the entire entry with the whole summary.
I realize that this may annoy people, but RC is becoming really cluttered. The
interface needs to be improved to get back some usability.

I don't think we're likely to do this, so I'm going to WONTFIX it.

A JavaScript goodie to do it would be pretty easy to add as a custom option though.
