Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.

You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description Sergey Chernyshev 2007-09-04 16:53:40 UTC
I need a way to edit a page using only one template out of many templates on primary form because primary form form is long and has multiple templates.
Comment 1 Sergey Chernyshev 2007-09-04 16:54:10 UTC
One solution is to use another form with just needed template definitions (possibly with different HTML formatting and text around it) and have "free text" field hidden which will hold the rest of the templates that are already on the page.

I'll test this approach and will update the bug.
Comment 2 Sergey Chernyshev 2007-10-17 16:02:55 UTC
Also, to preserve the order of templates, it might be better to have all template definitions in the form, but keep all the fields hidden. It might be much harder to maintain which will make it more of the workaround.

I believe this request is now do-able, using partial forms, which were added in version 0.9.
