Description Effeietsanders 2007-08-26 13:39:16 UTC
Currently, when there is a spam attack, IP's cannot be prevented to continue their work before they are blocked on every single wiki. This gives a huge amount of work for stewards, and early detection is totally useless this way. Please provide the stewards with a new tool, a Wikimedia-wide block to make sure that a certain IP (and after SUL, maybe also username) is blocked on every single wiki. This would be very usefull in spambot attacks.

[[mw:Extension:RegexBlock]] might be something worth of a thought: Wikia uses it and it seems like a good solution for this.
