If no player plugin or java is available, clicking the 'play' button for a movie on the file description page causes the still image to disappear, apparently replaced by a text message recommending that you download Java.

This is visually disruptive, and there's no obvious way to get the image back without reloading the page.

It might be cleaner if the still remained in view.
