Created attachment 4029 [details] Screenshot of Special:Newimages on my test install with some ogg files playing I'm not sure whether this is awesome or really annoying. ;) With OggHandler, ogg video and audio files display the 'play' button and can be played inline in an image gallery control such as at Special:Newimages. It's kind of neat, but the moving items are a bit odd-looking, and at least some player plugins (such as QuickTime) don't handle being given a too-small area well. The QuickTime player centers the unscaled video, cropping off most of the video *and the control bar*. Cortado seems to do all right, though I have troubles with operating the stop/start controls.
Display of videos in galleries is intended, and will be kept for now as per our IRC conversation. The QuickTime issues were fixed in r25072, it needed <param name="SCALE" value="Aspect"/> to prevent cropping. Any remaining visual issues with the OggHandler extension can be reported separately.
