It has been pointed out to me by several people that in the Preferences under Recent Changes we should 

s/Days to show in recent changes/Maximum number of days to show in recent changes/

s/Number of edits to show in recent changes/Maximum number of changes to show in recent changes/

I think it is better to be more descriptive rather than less and that this change should be made.
