See the link above: where the text describing the category is placed in the article 
at the {{Category:New}} tag

The category seems to render correctly:
http://www.jimrobertson.net/AccuWiki/index.php?title=Category:New

This only happens for categories which have had text added to describe the category.

Additionally, the category(ies) added before the text continue to be listed as 
categories, but ones that have the {{Category:New}} added after I have edited the 
Category Article only show the text and do not get added to the Category list.

I am using MYSQL to support the db

Help!! Please!!

The syntax for including a category is [[Category:New]], not {{Category:New}}.
