Currently, there is no way to find all links to sections of pages - only to whole pages. I've been working on updating links to archived sections of pages - and getting a lot of "hits" which, in fact, are links to the page, not too a section of it. I would like to be able to find all links to sections of pages, without having to open all the pages which link there.

This is a WONTFIX in the vein of bug 8955 comment 1; we will not make the required schema changes to support such a fragile interface.

Reopening for consideration per bug 8955 comment 8.  It's a sensible bit of info to add to the link table, that would undoubtedly come in handy for some kinds of analysis.  Of course, it would be a rather low-priority schema update on the Wikimedia cluster, but I don't think that means it shouldn't be done.
