Description Robert Rohde 2007-06-15 22:22:45 UTC
Some recent software change broke the widely used "check talk" template on en.wikipedia.

After some playing around, it appears that placing HTML for 'font="red"' as part of the output from the #switch tag is causing the output to fail. I suspect that it has something to do with the fact that "=" is a part of the syntax for both #switch and the HTML code. An example is shown at the URL given.

This nested format was working correctly until recently, so I assume there was some recent change that broke it.

See http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:ParserFunctions#.23switch:

Use "#default = ": {{#switch:{{{2}}}|#default = <span id=a>FOO</span>}}
