Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description Rémi Kaupp 2007-06-06 09:35:51 UTC
In the user interface, it would be much more user-friendly to allow "clickable images", i.e. when an image is clicked, the reader ends up on the link destination and not on the image description page (which is the current behaviour).

While getting the description page is logical in articles, in order to get author & license information, this is counter-intuitive in the interface, where non-experienced readers do not expect this kind of behaviour. See for instance : click on images should go to the destination.

The current solutions are not appropriate : Imagemap extension is still limited (no magic words...), and poses several CSS and browser-related problems.

Note that this would be requested for pages in the MediaWiki namespace only, and optionally (via a magic word ?)
