Description Andrew Whitworth 2007-06-04 16:45:54 UTC
en.wikibooks has several books with page structure "Bookname/Chaptername/Pagename". I would like a magic word that will isolate the highest-level parent only from the list. {{BASEPAGENAME}} will isolate "Bookname/Chaptername", but I only want to isolate "Bookname".

For instance, in the page "Bookname/Chaptername/Pagename", {{BOOKNAME}} would return "Bookname".

en.wikibooks does not have the StringFunctions installed, although those functions could be used to do the same thing. However, considering that this feature will be used on many pages, it will probably be easier on the server to just provide a new magic word.

This is a dupe for bug 6067 (closed as WONTFIX).

For installing the StringFunctions see bug 6455.
