In 1.4 the alternative [[zh-min-nan:blabla]] for [[minnan:blabla]] does not work. There are still many links of the first form, which now become inline links rather than interwiki links. Also, the language name is now written in Chinese characters, whereas the Min-nan Wikipedia itself uses an extended Latin alphabet.
Where are you testing this, exactly? Keep in mind that test.wikipedia.org is not configured exactly the same as the various sites, and likely does not have a complete set of language links. The only live site on 1.4 so far is commons.
This was noticed on WikiCommons.
Ok, it sounds like Names.php needs to be updated in REL1_4 and HEAD.

Also, the label on the interwiki link is out of date (it should be in the Latin script, not the Han script).
Also, the interface on http://zh-min-nan.wikipedia.org/ is now in English, not in the native language.
Now things seems to be fixed, except for the following: minnan: interwiki links are still in the wrong (Han) script; zh-min-nan: interwiki links are in the correct (Latin) script now, though.
Interlang to jbo.wikipedia.org does not work. [[jbo:FooBarBaz]] is rendered as just interwiki, not as other languages.
Re-added jbo name, updated minnan name.
confirm zh-min-nan fixed (thanks).
Yes, interwiki links fixed. Thanks! Am I supposed to be able to select zh-min-nan interface in en Wikipedia? (I can select en interface in zh-min-nan Wikipedia.) If so, then that is not fixed yet. Cheers!
