Created attachment 16488 [details] screenshot Environment- Test2, beta, production Highlight a citation and select any text style from the drop-down. I get "Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'getSurface' of null".
I could reproduce it while applying the text style, but the heading styles on Citation, your screenshot also matches with the later case.

Rummana,it happens when the citation is highlighted and i change the text style to anything(not just Heading). In the screenshot, i had changed the style from paragraph to Heading, while the citation was highlighted.

Ritu, yes that is what I am referring to by "applying Heading Style" which includes any of those heading formats (Heading,sub-heading 1 etc). By "Text style", I thought you are referring to text formatting (Bold/Italic etc), which I think is not how you reproduced this issue?
