Hello, A workshop will be held tomorrow, after tomorrow and the day after, participants should have their usernames already have their users created, but I would expect some would not have them created, expecting 25 participants, I guess 10 might still not have their accounts created. the workshop is taking place between (2pm - 6pm cairo time on friday, probably shifting 4 hours later hours on saturday and sunday); I'm unable to provide a fixed ip right away; will provide one a few hours before workshop start. Will work on wikipedia-ar and commons Related links: My profile on arabic wp: https://ar.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D9%85%D8%B3%D8%AA%D8%AE%D8%AF%D9%85:Uwe_a
There is no chance — no chance at all — that we will be able to submit and merge a patch adding a throttle in a few hours' time. Please have the participants register new accounts on different Wikipedias; once the 5 accounts limit is reached on one project, you can switch to a different one to take the full advantage of the Single User Login (SUL). In the future, please give us more time to prepare config changes.
In general such requests require: * The wiki name(s) (domain name(s), database name(s), whatever). * When the event starts, including timezone. * When the event ends, including timezone. * What the limit needs to be raised to (e.g. 75 accounts). * The IP(s). * A link to the details for the event. If you think such a request has gone unnoticed and the event is about to start, go to the IRC channel #wikimedia-tech on Freenode IRC and ask for help. (See http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/IRC for general info on using IRC.)
Just in case we can get this working, the ip is 41.34.19.219 I will keep the power on so that the chances are the ip will not change today, tommorow and the day after are better. trying to A) create accounts for users elsewhere B) getting a 3g router
