The JavaScript-created interface doesn't appear at all. Firefox 27.

Works for me on Firefox 28 and several other browsers I've tried. Is it still happening for you, and if so, is it only on Firefox?

So, obvious questions: * Have you tried upgrading to Firefox 28? * Is the browser console for JavaScript (Ctrl+Shift+J) displaying anything interesting?
(In reply to Bartosz Dziewoński from comment #4) > * Is the browser console for JavaScript (Ctrl+Shift+J) displaying anything > interesting? Good question. It says: TypeError: mw.beta is undefined defaultTracking.js:5 URL: https://bits.wikimedia.org/static-1.23wmf20/extensions/VectorBeta/resources/compactPersonalBar/defaultTracking.js I think it prevents execution of other JavaScript code.
I can't reproduce on Firefox 28. I tried both when logged in and logged out. If it really happens on some configurations, it might be a bug in debug mode in ResourceLoader. According to module dependencies in VectorBeta, mw.beta should always be defined when defaultTracking.js is loaded.
Liangent, is it still happening for you? Have you tried updating Firefox? Do you have any custom JS or gadgets enabled?

Confirming the line TypeError: mw.beta is undefined defaultTracking.js:5 in Firefox 28, being logged in.
I just had an epiphany. The file trackClick.js is blocked by AdBlock's default configuration. This might be affecting whatever metrics you guys are running.
