https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Magic_word Can we have a magic word for the number of user edits. I'd just like to display on my Wikipedia talk page, the number of edits I've made. This could be further enhanced by letting me specify the number of article edits, talk page edits, between certain dates, and across all mediawiki projects. Of course I'd like other editors to see my count, so perhaps it would need my username as a parameter.
Dupe of bug 30353?
Looks like. Good catch! *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 30353 ***
Isn't bug 30353 about creating a magic word that displays the total number of Wikiepdia edits from all editors, rather than the number of individual edits by a specific editor?
(In reply to comment #3) > Isn't bug 30353 about creating a magic word that displays the total number of > Wikiepdia edits from all editors, rather than the number of individual edits > by > a specific editor? That would be {{NUMBEROFEDITS}}, which was introduced a few years beforehand in r21319. It is part of the core software, not an extension. Bug 30353 comment 0 is actually unclear as to whether "Foo" refers to a user or to a page title, though "editcount" usually refers to exactly what you describe (the number of edits a specific user made).
Thanks for the clarification. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 30353 ***
