The "Desktop" view link does not appear on special pages. While the vast majority of readers do not care, it is slightly annoying to those who do.

This is actually by design... although we should certainly review.

* Certain desktop pages do not exist in mobile and vice versa. e.g. Special:Uploads
* In the case of the Watchlist the page is different.
* This would require design as the existing mobile special pages do not have a footer.

Thus marking as an enhancement and adding design keyword as this is currently not actionable.

Very annoying thing. I either view and edit from mobile via desktop and when I go to "Special:Watchlist" at the begin of the work I need to click on random link to switch view to normal - wasting of not free traffic.

This is being addressed as part of a special page redesign. These are available in beta.
