See <https://meta.wikimedia.org/?oldid=5683137#Notifications_are_now_live_on_Meta> - For at least some users, the "blending-in" of the notifications (when clicking on the number) into the current page does not work, instead Special:Notifications loads.
On Monobook of course.
Works for me. We can't do anything unless you provide some more information. What browsers does it occur on? Does it occur if you disable all gadgets and user scripts? (The easiest way to test this is probably to create a new account.) Is Monobook the only affected skin?
It works on Cologne Blue and Modern. It also works, btw, when just having switched to Monobook and still being on Special:Preferences. It occurs on Firefox 22.0; on a test-account it does work even if I copy over all settings + JS scripts.
(In reply to comment #3) > It also works, btw, when just having switched to Monobook and still being on > Special:Preferences. This means this is caused by some of your own customizations, as gadgets and user scripts & styles are not loaded on Preferences.

Glad we've found the root cause :) I'll comment on offending script's ([[meta:User:Quentinv57/HideButtonsFromNonGsProjects.js]]) talk page with suggestions on how to unbreak it. I think this can be safely marked as invalid now.
