The file http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:A_through_Z_in_Morse_code.ogg does not play all the way to the end in Firefox. It stops at Y and misses Z. Checked in Firefox, Chrome and IE by several users, seems only Firefox has this problem. I am using FF20, Windows 7.
Confirmed also on Firefox Aurora (FF23), Mac OS X 10.8. If I load the ogg file directly in Firefox, it seems to play all the way through to Z (but there's no subtitles so if your morse code is rusty it's annoying to verify ;)
Yes, FF20 will also play the file directly. It is only a problem when played through Wikimedia. For those who don't know Morse code, Y is dah, di dah dah and Z is dah dah di dit.
It was noted at http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Village_pump_%28technical%29&diff=556061732&oldid=556055489 that the file history lists the file as 38s, two seconds shorter than its actual length.
[Tentatively moving to TMH, feel free to move back.]
A new version was uploaded that was a bit longer, can this be some caching issue, testing it now in Firefox Nightly it plays to the end and the page also displays the right duration.
Going to http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:A_through_Z_in_Morse_code.ogg and using Firefox 18 under Linux here, the embedded file is played until the end. Spinningspark: Do you still see this problem? As the bug summary says "files", have you experienced this problem with any other OGG files (as the specific example is a bit special due to its file history, comment 3)?
File looks good now after the latest upload in all browsers I have tried. I have no other examples.
Alright. Thanks for rechecking!
