Created attachment 8527 [details] print screen on IE 8 http://wikimania2011.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page The site don't work good with IE (was check with 7&8). Its seem like the CSS is not loading correctly
What happens if you do a hard refresh of the page? We're still experiencing this as an intermittent issue across WMF projects
(In reply to comment #1) > What happens if you do a hard refresh of the page? > > We're still experiencing this as an intermittent issue across WMF projects I saw the problem on at least 4 computers. all of them - hard refresh didn't change nothing - and the problem appear on each page over the wikimania 2011 site.
That's interesting. Confirmed on IE8 locally enwiki is ok Login page is ok while logged out After logging in, it goes away for me
right. same to me. not working good on each page over the site login page - looking fine. and after i logging in (even afterI logged out) - working fine.
I disabled some scripts on wikimania 2011. Can someone test to see if this bug still occurs ? To double check your cache, there should _not_ be a chatbox frame showing up on this page: http://wikimania2011.wikimedia.org/wiki/IRC, if it does then you have a cached version of the scripts.
people still have the problem... any new idea how to fix that?
Right now, there's no problem in the HomePage. The problem is in most of the pages linked to it. For example: Venu- http://wikimania2011.wikimedia.org/wiki/Venue Submissions- http://wikimania2011.wikimedia.org/wiki/Call_for_Papers
So the problem is that you're missing layout/styling on those pages ? Can you try to purge them and see if it works after that ? http://wikimania2011.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Venue&action=purge http://wikimania2011.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Call_for_Papers&action=purge
works for me, I accessed the page now for the first time since a couple of months when was setup. Have you also tried Ctrl+F5 (instead of F5) in your brower ? And: Tools -> Internet Options -> Clear Internet files (browser history, download temporary files (i.e. cache), perhaps cookies) If this does not help, then &action=purge as explained above.
Okay, I believe the issue here has been resolved. If clearing the browser cache does not fix it for you, feel free to re-open this bug!
