It was reported in #wikimedia-tech that certain .djvu files (the example I was given was http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/50/A_Compendium_of_Irish_Biography.djvu ) are served with the Content-Type: text/plain header, which makes it look kinda ugly in the user's browser and makes downloading it slightly less obvious (need right-click Save as since left-clicking the link yields a page full of binary data).
The content type gets set by the web server upload.wikimedia.org, not by Mediawiki. Changing product/component.
Restoring original assignee and component.
Added type=image/vnd.djvu exts=djvu to mime.types on ms7, refreshed web server. The original server is now delivering files with the correct mime type. Squid still has the old mime type cached for many files.
Are there still pages showing download problems?
Apparently issue is fixed. Closing. Please reopen this bug if there are still any problems.
