The preference "Misc -> Underline links" is right rather than left justified and very narrow in width. As a result it's completely unreadable in some browsers.
Please provide a screenshot and if possible, narrow the "some browsers" down to one or more browser names and versions in particular. Other information needed: are you seeing this on vanilla MediaWiki in the Monobook skin (which version?) or in a customised skin? Which screen resolution are you using? Worksforme in: FF 3.0, IE7, in both monobook and modern. Screen resolution 1140*900.
Created attachment 5818 [details] Screenshot showing issue Screenshot uploaded. The flaw is on the current version of the "Opera" browser. It's been consistent in all versions of Opera for quiet a while, including as a new install or new system. No other dropdown box in Mediawiki seems to render this way. See enclosed screenshot showing 1/ the preferences page and 2/ the dropdown box.
Sorry, missing information: all versions of Opera I can lay my hands on (although all other dropdown boxes work fine), up to date XP platform, unmodded skin, and all video resolutions (1280 x 1024 +)
I cannot reproduce this error in my installations but I have prettified the code today (was since weeks on my to do list) with r47335. Can you test it on http://translatewiki.net/wiki/Special:Preferences pls? Translatewiki runs the latest revision always.
That fixed it. Thanks :)
