Before using AJAX, you were redirected to a new page with the new title <title>Aktion beendet – Wikimedia Labs</title>. Now with AJAX, you stay on the same page. If you have 50 open tabs for sighting, scan through them, click on the button and move on to the next page, you have to check the tabs again in the case the title is unchanged. Therefore it is much more convenient if the title is changed. The related bug is https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14003, the code provided there is able to do that.
So you want it to say "action complete" or something?
OK, when said "tab" I was thinking MW tabs, not browser tabs. That makes a lot more sense then ;)
Yeah, that's it :-)
